WP6 meeting: digitalization scenario advances towards expert validation  | 27 May 2026

A Work Package 6 meeting was held on 27 May 2026 to review progress on the digitalization fast track scenario. Partners reported advances in AI-assisted data collection, with large language models used to screen scientific literature and extract technology-specific indicators — subsequently verified manually and organised into structured tables.

The BrightSpace project is also conducting parallel work on digital agricultural technology descriptions. The two projects will consolidate their indicator datasets by mid-June 2026, eliminating duplicates and ensuring broad coverage across technologies and crops.

Partners agreed that the fast track working paper will cover the data collection methodology and consolidated indicator tables, while model simulations and stakeholder-validated data will form part of the final track activities.

To manage stakeholder fatigue, there is a high potential for a joint ACT4CAP27/BrightSpace expert validation workshop for September 2026, after which multiple modelling teams — including CAPRI, AGMEMOD, MAGNET, IFM-CAP, and GLOBIOM — will run simulations for a multi-model assessment targeting a high-impact publication. A next WP6 coordination meeting is scheduled for June to review working paper progress ahead of the summer break.
