In March 2024, we in the ACT4CAP27 project make our official debut with the release of a first press statement, signaling an important step towards supporting evidence-based EU agri-food policies in the post-2027 era. Funded under Horizon Europe, our ambitious project aims to strengthen policy impact assessments and guide future regulatory pathways in alignment with the European Green Deal.
Our consortium brings together 13 research institutions from eight EU countries, along with partners from Ukraine and the UK to leverage established modelling tools to predict the impacts of policies across local, national, and regional levels.
The project’s launch in The Hague is marked by a two-day kick-off meeting hosted by Wageningen Economic Research. Attended by European Commission representatives and leading agricultural policy experts, the meeting will set the stage for addressing the challenges of EU agriculture amidst global disruptions, including geopolitical tensions, the Ukraine crisis, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
