POLISSIA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (PNU)

Polissia National University is a leading agro-ecologically focused educational and research institution in Ukraine, specializing in environmental, agricultural, social, and economic teaching and research areas. It plays a critical role in supplying specialists to various subsectors of the national economy. More than 4,000 students are studying at the university across 28 specialties. The university's scientific community collaborates with the Ukrainian government, local authorities, agricultural businesses, and NGOs on key issues such as agricultural policy, food security, climate change adaptation, and rural development.

As a member of the ACT4CAP27 consortium, Polissia National University contributes to assessing agricultural commodities supply chains' social, environmental, and economic sustainability; modeling the Ukrainian agricultural market and its connection with the EU; modeling the impact of the war in Ukraine; assessing the accession of Ukraine to the EU.

Olga Nykolyuk

Olga Nykolyuk holds a PhD and a Doctor of Economic Sciences (DSc) degree from Polissia National University. She has been employed at the university since 2009, where she is responsible for the university’s digitalization process and for modeling agricultural markets in Ukraine based on the AGMEMOD model. Olga is also a Professor in the Department of Information Technologies and Modeling Systems and delivers lectures on economic modeling and econometrics. She is a scholarship holder of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the research topic 'Development of the Methodology for the Formation of a Fractal Model of Organic Farms' Vertical Integration.'

Petro Pyvovar

Petro Pyvovar is the Head of the Center for Space and Geoinformation Technologies at Polissia National University since 2022 and has been an Associate Professor with a Candidate of Economic Sciences degree since 2013. He specializes in rural transformation, international economic relations, food security, and the application of GIS technologies in socio-economic research. His expertise includes modeling agricultural markets, particularly in livestock farming, where he analyzes market dynamics and trends to promote sustainable development in the sector.

Oleksandr Rozhkov is a junior researcher at Polissia National University, with the main areas of research using GIS technologies and economic-mathematical modeling. After completing his master's degree at Polissia National University, he continues to work there as the head of the Earth Remote Sensing Laboratory. Together with his colleagues, he participates in various projects of the international and national level with a focus on agricultural market research and work.

Roksolana Nazarkina

Roksolana Nazarkina holds a degree in Economic Analysis from the Kyiv School (KSE) of Economics. Since 2023, she has worked as a researcher at the KSE Agrocenter. Her primary role involves modeling using the partial equilibrium model AGMEMOD. Her research focuses on topics such as market power, price formation, the evaluation of shock impacts, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues.
