It is with deep sadness that the ACT4CAP27 consortium acknowledges the passing of Professor Luca Salvatici, a distinguished economist and esteemed colleague from Roma Tre University.
Professor Salvatici was a leading figure in the field of agricultural and trade economics, with a career spanning decades of academic excellence and international collaboration.
Within the ACT4CAP27 project, Professor Salvatici played an instrumental role in exploring the sustainability dimensions of EU food systems and enhancing the representation of global value chains. His leadership and insights were evident during our consortium’s annual meeting in February 2025, where he warmly welcomed participants and contributed significantly to our collective goals.
Beyond his professional achievements, Luca was known for his generosity, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. His absence leaves a profound void in our community, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide our work.
