The CAPRI Developer Seminar 2026 will take place on 17–18 March 2026 in Berlin, Germany, at Campus Nord of Humboldt University. The event will bring together researchers, software developers, and agricultural economists to exchange on recent advances in the CAPRI modelling system, one of the leading tools for economic analysis of agricultural and trade policies in Europe.
The 2026 edition of the seminar will focus on the latest policy simulations, data updates, and methodological developments within CAPRI. Particular attention will be given to the latest insights from Horizon Europe projects, including BrightSpace and ACT4CAP27, which contribute to strengthening CAPRI’s capacity to assess sustainability transitions, climate impacts, and policy interventions across agricultural systems.
Beyond technical developments, the seminar will provide a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange among CAPRI developers, policy analysts, and researchers. It also explicitly welcomes students and PhD candidates with an interest in agricultural economic modelling, offering them an opportunity to engage with an established pan-European research community and gain insight into applied policy analysis.
CAPRI (Common Agricultural Policy Regionalised Impact Modelling System, www.capri-model.org) is an open-source modelling framework developed with support from the European Commission and maintained by a pan-European network of researchers. Operational for more than a decade, CAPRI supports ex ante impact assessments of the Common Agricultural Policy and trade policies, covering effects on production, income, markets, trade, and the environment from the global to the regional scale. Its continued development relies on collaborative model maintenance, scientific research, and policy-oriented applications.
