Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and the Thünen Institute (THÜNEN) are pleased to invite researchers, policymakers, and professionals to the next AGMEMOD Training Course, scheduled to take place from June 17-20, 2025, at the WUR premises in The Hague.
About the AGMEMOD Training Course
AGMEMOD is a network of agricultural economists working with a partial equilibrium model, also called AGMEMOD. The name – AGMEMOD – stands for AGricultural MEmber State MODelling.
The AGMEMOD Training Course is designed to support new modellers in becoming familiar with AGMEMOD, a key tool for agricultural economic analysis. The training will also foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among AGMEMOD consortium members and broader research communities.
Course Highlights
This four-day hands-on training will cover:
- Applications of AGMEMOD – Understanding research and policy questions addressed by the model.
- Data Requirements & Processing – Exploring the datasets necessary for AGMEMOD and how to manage them effectively.
- Model Structure & Equations – Learning about the model’s equation sets and operational framework.
- Scenario Modelling & Analysis – Running simulations and interpreting results.
Sessions will combine interactive, hands-on training led by experienced AGMEMOD modellers with plenary discussions on the general AGMEMOD framework and its applications.
Participation Details
The course is free of charge, thanks to financial support from the Horizon Europe projects Tools4CAP, BrightSpace, and ACT4CAP27. However, participants are expected to cover their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.
