The ACT4CAP27 Work Package 3 team met on 16 October to review progress on upcoming deliverables, coordinate technical documentation and discuss how the work contributes to the project’s exploitable results.
The meeting covered three main deliverable areas: 1) Global input module 2) EU module of consumer preference shifts and 3) CAP and Green Deal policies module, all due by the end of February 2027.
Modelling developments and data infrastructure
The team reviewed preparations for D3.1 , D3.2 and D3.4, discussing the documentation of modelling extensions and agricultural input-use assessments, including work on antimicrobials, fertilisers and pesticides. Participants considered how to combine new methodological developments and data with existing scientific publications and model documentation.
The planned documentation of the CAP database was also discussed, including its structure, and a use case demonstrating data transfer to the AGMEMOD agricultural sector model. The team agreed on the value of including practical demonstrations to help future users understand how the database works and how it can support modelling applications. Further development will depend partly on the availability of data.
Connecting deliverables with stakeholder needs and project results
The team discussed how emerging modelling evidence could inform the ACT4CAP27 stakeholder meeting on 25 November 2026. Feedback from the meeting will help inform the ongoing technical work and may also contribute to policy-oriented outputs.
Participants also reviewed the preliminary grouping of the project’s key exploitable results (KERs). WP3 contributes to several proposed results covering modelling modules and indicators for food value chains and input use, health assessment and consumer preferences, and CAP and Green Deal policy analysis. These groupings will connect technical deliverables with accessible descriptions of their purpose, potential users and policy relevance.
Next steps
WP3 contributors will continue developing the deliverables, with draft versions to be shared internally by 30 November 2026 and discussed at the next team meeting on 3 December 2026. The team will incorporate relevant stakeholder feedback and continue linking technical outputs to the project’s wider exploitation and dissemination activities.
