Accelerator Platform Workshop | 29 January 2026

IIASA organized a hands-on workshop on 29 January 2026 within WP4, Tasks 4.1 and 4.3 of ACT4CAP27 to introduce project partners to the IIASA Accelerator Platform and to demonstrate how we will work together on data and model workflows throughout the project.

The workshop followed an interactive and practical format, combining short demonstrations with guided exercises. This approach allowed participants to actively engage with the platform, replicate each step themselves, and develop a shared understanding of how ACT4CAP27 workflows will be implemented in practice.

During the session, IIASA colleagues presented the Accelerator Platform as a common digital environment supporting collaboration, data harmonisation, and reproducibility. Its core functionalities were introduced, including secure data management, validation of datasets against agreed templates, merging of compatible datasets, and built-in tools for data and scenario exploration.

A central focus of the workshop was the ACT4CAP27 workflow under WP4. We discussed how partners will agree on common dataset structures, validate and harmonise model results, and explore data and scenarios in a consistent and transparent way. Through practical exercises, participants were onboarded to project workspaces and introduced to roles, access rights, and shared resources.

Looking ahead, we outlined how the Accelerator Platform will further support WP4 activities by enabling model execution, workflow orchestration, and more advanced analytical workflows. Upcoming developments, including AI-supported tools for data exploration, were also briefly introduced.

This workshop is an important step in establishing a shared technical and collaborative foundation for ACT4CAP27, supporting robust analysis and evidence-based contributions to discussions on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy.
